Queensgate Market hosts student art

March 2010

75 Huddersfield students between the ages of 9 and 21 were commissioned by Kirklees Council to provide public art which can be integrated within public spaces. 

The art was undertaken to encourage community links within the town centre and the large format panels within the Market offered a flavour of the work.

Clr Peter McBride said," Huddersfield is a town centre which must appeal, provide opportunities and excite all generations. The images now in Queensgate Market Hall show what we can achieve with creativity".
