About The Cakes

The rich fruit cakes are moist and tasty. They are suitable to keep for up to 2 months. They are also suitable for posting pieces to friends or relatives who could not make the special event.

The Madeira and Chocolate Madeira cakes are available for those who wish to offer and alternative to the traditional rich fruit. These, however, are not suitable for keeping and should be eaten, ideally, on the day of the celebration, and no later than 2 days after.

Different types of cake can be used in separate tiers, e.g. the base tier could be fruit, middle tier Madeira and the top tier chocolate Madeira. The choice is yours.

The best quality marzipan and sugar paste are used to cover the cakes. Traditional white or ivory being the standard, but these can be replaced by more unusual colours on request.

The ALL Chocolate cakes are coated in a “boozy” chocolate ganache which contains Rum!
